Friction Bolt-47-2400mm Functions

Friction Bolt-47-2400mm is a frictional ground support system. When friction bolt is inserted into drilling hole with smaller diameter, the slot partially closes and bolt diameter is compressed, which creates radical forces  on rock roof surface along the whole length and firmly holds the rock.

Friction Bolt-47-2400mm reference to the AS/NZS1594 / ASTM A1011 standard.

Friction Bolt-47-2400mm have passed tests in many mines and have been supplied steadily for several years.

Usually combined with domed plates, provides anchoring force for rock strata.

      How to work

Assess the ground's characteristics thoroughly before beginning.

Select an appropriate drill bit and create a hole that matches the friction bolt's diameter and length,  ensuring the hole extends at least 150mm beyond the bolt's length as   per the specified drilling procedure.

Attach a plate to the friction bolt, ensuring the dome faces the ring and the tapered end is positioned forward.

Ensure friction bolts are installed at a right angle to the rock surface for maximum stability.

Insert the driver dolly into the bolt and drive it into the hole until the plate makes firm contact with the rock surface.

Once the plate is securely attached to the rock, avoid hammering the friction bolt further to prevent damage to the end of the bolt.

After installation, conduct pull tests to assess the initial anchorage strength of the friction bolts.
