Expansion Shell Bolt with Forged Integral Head
- -Used with expansion shell and grout for expansion friction point anchorage.
- -Used for permanent support in mines and tunnels.
- -with pin nut device, nut could help drive the rod to mix the resin.
- -Fast and easy installation by mechanized tools.
- -Available in black or hot dig galvanized.
Technical conditions of the Expansion Shell Bolt
Technical conditions of the Expansion Shell Boltis made of hot rooled ribbed bar or high strength bar.Two ends are rolled thread and the top end is fixed an expansion shell for point anchorage.
Key Features
1. Manufactured from high strength full threadbar with a hot forged integral head on one end and the other end has expansion shell.
2. Available in left hand or right hand thread.
3. Provide the same tensile strength on the entire length.
4. Expansion shell bolt with integral head, they are suitable for use in areas where roof is low or when long bolts tails are undesirable.
5. Nominal diameter 16mm/18mm/20mm can be supplied.
6. Corrosion protection may be provided by hot dip galvanizing or thermal diffusion.
Technical conditions of the Expansion Shell Bolt 16mm
Nominal diameter 16mm
Tensile strength Minimum 100kN
Square forged head
Forged head must be reused with 340Nm bolting
Expansion Shell Design
Length: 100-130mm
Length of the ribbed leaf: 75mm min
Expansion shell diameter 38mm to suit for borehole with 40-44mm diameter
Expansion shell must afford screwing for the whole length of bolt
Mechanical strength of the expansion shell: 90kN min
Torque of roof support tightening: 250-350N.m
Bearing Plate, Expansion Shell
How to work
After inserting the bolt into the drilling hole, rotate the pin nut and the pin nut drives the bar into the plug. The plug expands the three steel leaves, which leads to an expansion friction strength to hold the bar for a poin anchrage.
